UNSUNG (2022)

Monday, 5 December 2022 - Brunswick Ballroom

Show starts at 7pm, doors and kitchen opening from 6pm

Antipodes Theatre Company presents "Unsung", a concert fundraiser featuring a dozen of Melbourne's best singers and comedians performing songs from musical theatre roles they wouldn't traditionally be cast in. Featuring songs from Hamilton, Oliver, Jesus Christ Superstar and more, Unsung promises a night to remember!

The evening will feature a silent auction and raffle, along with the reveal of Antipodes' 2023 Season.

Hosted by Peppy Smears, this event will be a fun-filled night of stories, songs, and celebrating Antipodes' commitment to providing an inclusive and collaborative environment for independent theatre in Melbourne.

All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Antipodes programming, including new work development and artist residencies.

Previous projects include the Australian premieres of Dave Malloy’s Ghost Quartet (two seasons, two Green Room Award nominations), Harrison David Rivers’ And She Would Stand Like This, Stew and Heidi Rodewald’s Passing Strange, the Victorian premiere of Sam Martin’s Sam I Am, and our annual Winter Lab for new work and bold ideas. Brooklyn Runaways, Antipodes’ cabaret and live event arm, presents gigs throughout the year including the annual Midsumma Festival event Bowie Ball.
