It’s the biggest event of the school year: St. Helens’ Annual Spelling Bee. Cass and Maria are two precocious Grade 4 students, P-R-E-C-O-C-I-O-U-S. Both of them read at a high school level. But only one student can spell their way to the top; who will it bee?

It’s late in the office, and Sam and Alex are working late. What begins as an unexpected conversation about books quickly becomes something more personal. As the two coworkers talk, boundaries begin to blur and a seemingly ordinary conversation takes an increasingly uncomfortable turn.
