PLAY IN A DAY
4 WRITERS. 4 DIRECTORS.
8 ACTORS. 24 HOURS.
A creative marathon where four writers, four directors and eight actors have a combined 24hours to write, rehearse and stage original 10-minute plays. (What could go wrong?!)
This whirlwind showcase brings together artists across many creative communities for an energetic and madcap evening of entertainment!
As of May 2026, Play In A Day has created 13 projects and for 47 opportunities artists.
Various projects have successfully pursued development and production opportunities beyond their Play In A Day event, include the Antipodes Winter Lab.

We will continue to accept EOls till Wednesday May 20th, (the day of the first session) to allow for last minute drop-outs.
Tickets sales will be put towards covering operation costs which includes: the hire fees for the 4 seperate spaces needed to rehearse the plays, prop sourcing and dinner for all participants on the 22nd. The Facilitators, the Operator and Event Photographer are all providing their services voluntarily.
