2025 SUBMISSION PANELLISTS
Comprised of four guest panellists and the Winter Lab producers, all submissions are given the opportunity to have their work reviewed by prominent artists from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.

Cameron Steens

LEAD PRODUCER & NEW WORK MANAGER
Cameron is a Naarm based queer, multidisciplinary theatre maker. As Antipodes Theatre Company's inaugural New Work Manager, they've produced numerous developments and networking programs (including five Winter Labs and Festival of the Unseen) in addition to the premiere of Orlando, Antipodes' first production originating from the Winter Lab. Other credits include: This is Living, If We Got Some More Cocaine (Associate Director), Protein (Assistant Director & Sound Design, Autonomous Inventions), MIMMA (dir. Brandon Pape

CO-PRODUCER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Brandon is the Founding Artistic Director for Antipodes Theatre Company, where he directed their inaugural production Ghost Quartet (two 2020 Green Room Award Nominations, return seasons in 2021 and 2025) and co-directed with Trudy Dunn their immersive reimagining of Guys and Dolls (thirteen 2024 Green Room Award nominations). Other Antipodes credits include Sam I Am, And She Would Stand Like This, Passing Strange (five 2023 Green Room Award Nominations), Orlando, and Winter Lab - an annual development program for new work and bold ideas.

Flick

Flick is a writer, dramaturg and creative producer. Flick has worked on projects and programs with La Mama, Australian Plays Transform, Darebin Arts, ATYP, Arts Access Victoria, La Mama, Rawcus, YDAS, Antipodes Theatre, Opera Express and more. As a writer they’re best known for the staged lesbian sci-fi series SLUNTIK™, and their work has been published with Osborne and Fawkner Publishing, Humana Obscura, CREATurE Magazine, and YDAS. They are a panellist for the Green Room Awards Association and a proud member of the MEAA. Flick is based in Naarm, and can be found on Instagram @flickflickcity or online flickflickcity.net.

Victoria Falconer

Victoria Falconer is a celebrated cross-disciplinary performance maker, music director, multi-instrumentalist, and creative mentor of Filipinx-English heritage. She is co-Artistic Director of Hayes Theatre Co alongside Richard Carroll, and winner of the Arts and Culture category at the Asian-Australians Leadership Awards (2024). Notable work as a musical director includes My Brilliant Career (Melbourne Theatre Company), In The Heights (Sydney Opera House), Ride The Cyclone (Hayes) and M’ap Boulé (Performing Lines). Recent commissions as cabaret artist include Smashed: The Nightcap (Sydney Festival 2024), The Sight (Dark Mofo 2023), and The Vali Myers Project (Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Frank Ford winner 2022).

Kitan Petkovski

Kitan Petkovski is a theatre director of Macedonian descent. His practice is embedded in cross-form and queer dramaturgies. Recent directing credits include Thirty-Six, The Hall, The Inheritance and The Gospel According to Jesus, Queen of Heaven (fortyfivedownstairs), SUGAR (Melbourne Fringe), Things I Know to be True, In The Club and Burgerz (Theatre Works). He is the co-founder and creative director of Bullet Heart Club and a panel member of the Theatre Companies Green Room Association Awards. Kitan holds an MFA in directing from the VCA and has been a guest tutor in theatre making and devising processes. www.kitanpetkovski.com

Sonya Suares

Sonya is an acclaimed actor, director, producer and arts activist. An honours graduate of Melbourne University and WAAPA’s Music Theatre degree, she has led companies, campaigns and festivals for more than two decades, including founding Australia's first and only Sondheim repertory company, Watch This. Alongside her creative practice, Sonya is a passionate DEI advocate, championing artists of colour and marginalised communities in large and small ways. She works consistently on new Australian writing with leading organisations like Belvoir Street Theatre, Melbourne Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company, Polyglot Theatre, Lonely Company, Antipodes Theatre, The People and Hayes Theatre Company.
