THE LAST DAYS OF BETTE DAVIS

(A COMPLETE FABRICATION)

By SAMANTHA HILL

Wednesday 1st may 2019

Reading begins at 7.00pm

Alex Theatre, St. kilda

Bette Davis has seen better days. Sequestered in a French hospital with only her assistant and the staff for company, she must contend with her failing health, estranged family members, and the stress of finishing a book about her life. Not to mention being visited by visions of her own drag impersonator who convinces her she might not be leaving the legacy she hoped for.

Hilarious and heartbreaking, Samantha Hill's insightful and creative play shows that it's never too late to reinvent yourself...even if you're one of the greatest actors of all time.

Runtime: 2 hours and 30 minutes, with one interval

Reading presentations are followed by a brief Q&A session with the creatives.

Recommended for audiences: 12+, parental discretion is advised.
