After the success of 2022’s “Unsung”, Antipodes Theatre Company is thrilled to announce its return! A concert fundraiser featuring some of Melbourne's best singers and comedians performing songs from musical theatre roles they wouldn't traditionally be cast in.
This event will be a fun-filled night of stories, songs, and celebrating Antipodes' commitment to providing an inclusive and collaborative environment for independent theatre in Melbourne. All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Antipodes programming, including new work development and artist residencies.

David Butler

"Never Enough" (The Greatest Showman)
David is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (Voice), a founding member of Antipodes Theatre Company and is a freelance performer, musical director and vocal coach based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. As a vocal coach, David works with singers, actors and other professional voice-users; he also tutors and lectures in Musical Theatre for Theatre Blacks and the VCA. Performance highlights include the Australian premiere GHOST QUARTET, #REALLY?! and two seasons of MAD WORLD. Musical direction credits include FALSETTOS (StageArt), GHOST QUARTET (ATC), INTO THE WOODS (Bottled Snail Productions) and MAD WORLD (DBS).

Bugs Baschera

Bugs Baschera is a musical theatre artist trained at VCA based in Naarm. Their recent credits from Melbourne Fringe and Midsumma include Teeth&Tonic, SLUTNIK, MOTHERLOD_^E, and they can be seen in many developmental circles. Their passions lie with voice and acting, and they look forward to their upcoming season of Guys and Dolls with Antipodes later this 2023 season.

Aidan Gale Miranda

"When He Sees Me" (Waitress)
Aiden (the A is silent), is just your small town boy born and raised in the Philippines. He took the midnight train- or rather car ride- to Melbourne after graduating from the inaugural music theatre course at the Elder Conservatorium. He is currently one of the resident artists for Broadway Unplugged's 2023 season. When he is not performing, you can find him playing Project Zomboid and seeking friends to play with.

Anne Gasko

"Maria" (West Side Story)
Anne graduated with a Bachelor of Music Theatre from Ballarat University. Her credits include Ernani (Opera Australia in co-production with La Scala), and Happy End (Victorian Opera). Anne has also been involved in the workshop and performance of several new shows including Electric Dreams Songs of the Northern River. Most recently, Anne was the swing for the regional tour of Menopause the Musical (SK Entertainment), and performed in over 40 shows during that run. In 2017 Anne she founded ‘Something Blue Productions’, an independent theatre company aimed at supporting the creation and development of new Australian theatre.

Guillaume Gentile

"Dyin' Ain't So Bad" (Bonnie & Clyde)
Guillaume is a Melbourne based performer born in Mauritius. He has recently appeared in And She Would Stand Like This as Miss Scott for Antipodes Theatre and as a Swing in Passing Strange the Musical. Other notable roles include Grady in The Color Purple. He has completed a Diploma of Musical Theatre at Theatre Blacks class of 2020. Guillaume alongside 101 Bipoc/Cald performers was nominated for a green room award for “I Need You To See Me” and was a top 30 finalist for the AOC initiative.

Matthew Hearne

Matthew is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Foundation course and Patrick Studios Australia under the direction of Andrew Hallsworth. They have performed in the original production of ‘Wise Guys: A Comedy Musical’ in the role of ‘Emmett’ & have recently played Alan Marshall in Antipodes workshop presentation of ‘I Can Jump Puddles’. He also Played the role of Sky Masterson as a part of their graduating production of ‘Guys & Dolls’ dir. Andrew Hallsworth. Matthew has Cerebral Palsy and is an active and passionate advocate for disability representation, particularly in sports and the arts.

Geraldine Quinn

"Ring of Keys" (Fun Home)
Geraldine Quinn (Spicks and Specks, Whovians, Upper Middle Bogan, How To Stay Married) is an award-winning rock cabaret writer/performer who has toured Australia, New Zealand and UK. She has 21 Green Room Award nominations (winning three), two Melbourne International Comedy Festival Golden Gibbo Award nominations for Best Independent Local Production (winning in 2011), won the 2015 NZ Fringe Best Cabaret Award, and is a two-time Moosehead Award recipient (2011 and 2014). She launched the David Bowie Is… exhibition in Melbourne, is a featured vocalist on Get Krackin’, co-starred with Tony Martin in his and Sarena Rowell’s award-winning sit-com podcast Childproof and is currently touring as MC for Circus Oz’s 1980s extravaganza NEON.

Lucy Ross

Lucy Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts(Music Theatre) from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, graduating in 2017. Since then she has had a varied theatre career appearing in musicals such as Anyone Can Whistle (Mrs Schroder), We Will Rock You (ensemble) & The Mystery Of Edwin Drood (Narrator/Stage Manager). She has also relished the opportunity to work on new Australian work, Alice’s Adventure by Andy Freeborn, where she played the Queen Of Hearts.
Lucy is passionate about working on new works and helping Australian writers make their mark in this industry.

Bradley Storer

"Somewhere That's Green" (Little Shop of Horrors)
A musical theatre performer and cabaret artist, Bradley completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Drama/Literature) at Deakin University and obtained a Diploma of Musical Theatre from Patrick Studios Australia under the tutelage of Andrew Hallsworth. Bradley has most recently been seen in new Australian musical Post, DL Turnbull's Early Days, in 24 Karat Productions' Sense and Sensibility: The Musical and in Creatrix Tiara's Queer Lady Magician. His critically acclaimed dark cabaret, Trickster, has also enjoyed multiple Melbourne seasons and toured to Adelaide Fringe - Bradley also premiered his latest solo work DARK PRINCE in 2023.

Brandon Pape

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & PRODUCER
Brandon is the founding Artistic Director of Antipodes Theatre Company in Melbourne, Australia. For Antipodes, Brandon directed the Australian Premiere of 'Ghost Quartet' (two 2020 Green Room Award Nominations, return season in 2021) and will co-direct their upcoming immersive reimagining of ‘Guys and Dolls’ taking place at Chapel Off Chapel in August 2023. Other Antipodes credits include Sam Martin's 'Sam I Am' (sold out season at La Mama, Victorian Premiere), 'And She Would Stand Like This' (Australian Premiere), 'Passing Strange' (Australian Premiere, five 2023 Green Room Award Nominations), and the Winter Lab - Antipodes' annual development program for new work and bold ideas. Antipodes will present their first production originating from the Winter Lab in November 2023 with ‘Orlando’ at fortyfivedownstairs.

A WAAPA graduate, multidisciplinary performer, dramaturge, director and all-round creative. Cameron is known for their keen interest in new work, supporting artists in all stages of their careers and has run multiple creative & networking programs. The newly appointed Ne Work Manager for Antipodes Theatre Company, they’ve also established themself as an excellent programmer having leased theatres for Gasworks Arts Park. Their performance credits include BSSTC’s Assassins(dir. Roger Hodgman), JTC’s Rent(dir. Mark Taylor) and Mimma(dir. Adam Mitchell). Other credits include: Pear-Shaped (White Rabbit/Assist.
